ArcelorMittal South Africa's strategies to unlock shareholder value is underpinned by the international shareholding the company enjoys from foreign investors, including some of the world’s largest fund management institutions in the United States and Europe. 

Recent statistics indicate that approximately 53% of the company’s stock is held by foreign investors, including ArcelorMittal Group's 52% interest.

The largest domestic shareholders are the Public Investment Corporation and the Industrial Development Corporation with 8.9% and 7.9% at the end of March 2011 respectively. The company has a total number of just less than 30 000 registered shareholders.
