Waschklip

Waschklip, the Conference, accommodation, boma and team building facility with a unique and tranquil atmosphere

At the Waschklip Conference and Recreational Facilities we pride ourselves on offering you a conferencing, recreational and accommodation venue with a unique ambience.

Waschklip Conference and Recreational Facility is located approximately 150 km from Cape Town on the R27 route to Langebaan and boasts conferencing, accommodation, boma and recreational facilities creating an attractive and tranquil atmosphere for all your "out of office" meeting requirements.

The facility's heritage is rich and interesting. Set on a dairy farm over a hundred years old, Waschklip started with an inspiration, to turn an old farm into a place that employees of Saldanha Works can share and enjoy with their families and community.

Waschklip began as a dairy farm, which explains the troughs that you will see alongside the walls of the conference venue. This farm with its fynbos and a myriad of plant species; is habitat to innumerable insects and birdlife, as well as springbuck, bontebok, zebras and horses.

Our dedicated conference co-ordinating team has received extensive training in order to assure you effective and efficient service throughout the duration of your "out of office" meeting.

So whether it’s a conference, seminar, directors meeting or simply a special occasion, check out the Waschklip Conference and Recreational Facility, then check in for an event to be remembered.

This, combined with our flexible approach, will ensure that you continue returning time after time.

Accommodation (Self catering cottages)

The Boma (Braai facility)

The Boma (15 metres in diameter) is set underneath Eucalyptus trees. Enclosed by a 1.8 metre high reed wall, it creates an absolute outdoor feel. Additional to the usual braai area with grids, at the centre is a huge “iziko” or fireplace, making it ideal for either cooking your “potjie”, creative conversations or story telling. Also available is a hand built oven suitable for baking of pizzas and breads.

The Club House (Conference facility)

The Club house caters for smaller conferences and intimate functions.

Silindikhaya Stables

Silindikhaya Stables have been operating on the West Coast for the past six years. The Equestrian Centre which was previously based in Longacres moved to Waschklip in December 2009.
